Fix so that it remembers fingerprints for FreeBSD servers
I use Termius to connect to three hosts; one running OpenBSD 5.8, one running Debian 8.10 and one running FreeBSD 11.1.
Connecting to the OpenBSD and Debian hosts work perfectly, and in the hosts list their entries also show that Termius has recognized what operating system they are running.
When connecting to the FreeBSD server Termius always states that it can’t establish the authenticity of the host. The fingerprint is always the same so it’s a problem with Termius. I’ve not had any problems like this connecting to my server from my desktop computer running OpenSSH client.
The only thing…

Access Snippets within a terminal
Like you can quickly access the SFTP feature via the folder button an additional button for the very useful Snippets feature would be great.

Known Hosts management
The list of known hosts seems to purge frequently. Is this a "feature" of the free version or is something else going on? Auto-purging radically reduces my security as it opens me to a MITM attack.
4 votesHello,
Thanks for noticing. This should work fine now.
Please let us know if you have any other issues or suggestions.Thanks.

Cursor movement
Latest update
The new update is mostly great, but the movement of the cursors and pup/pgdn to its own pop up menu (instead of a menu mode switch) has a real serious problem - the pop up covers exactly the area I'm trying to use - like pulling up the previous command history using the up arrow.
Moving the cursor with your finger is hard - moving 1 character is close to impossible. I'm using an iPad mini 2. How about an auto repeat on holding down the cursor icon, speeding up the longer you press it?

Google, Amazon, or box support
I'm looking in Google Drive, Amazon Drive, and Box. I don't see how I can share a copy with Termius. When I try and "Import with Termius" and tries to open and save as a key file.
If I can't SFTP files from my iPad (which is why I paid for the premium version), how do I get a refund?
I know the file sharing feature works through iTunes, but it's near useless to have to plug a portable device into a computer to help with a file transfer. If the desktop was readily available, I wouldn't need Termius to…1 voteHello.
Thank you for your feedback! In fact you are able to access Termius local file storage that is used in SFTP session through iTunes file sharing feature. Just connect your device to your PC or Mac, navigate to the Apps section and fin Termius. You should be able to see your stored files there.
As for transferring files between Termius and third party apps – it’s actually possible:
To transfer file from Termius to somewhere else
- Copy file to local storage. Tap on copied files in local storage. Termius will suggest you a number of available options (a list of apps that allow file importing, such as DropBox, Google Drive and so on.)To transfer file from somewhere else to Termius
- Open the app that allows file sharing, for example DropBox. Find the file that you want to share with Termius. Typically there will be a “Share”… -

Notification before app timeout?
iSSH, an older iOS SSH client, had the ability to post a system notification 30 seconds before the app's background thread would time out and disconnect from the server. This gave you a little time to go back to the app and renew the background threads so that you didn't get kicked off the server. Is that still possible?
Especially with background app threads only staying open for 3 minutes in iOS 8, I am unable to read an email and get back to SSH in time.

Forwarding of agent
This is needed when servers only accept key-based auth. For example, I must connect to our main server first then can connect to any of our thousand or so servers. There may be other devices on that network that we would also need to connect to. We only use key-based auth. I can connect to our main server but that's it. Can not get any further because the agent is not being forwarded.

Unable get public key from private
Hi,
what does this message want to tell me? I am adding a new SSH key via clipboard (not ppk). When asked for password I am entering it... Everything is fine so far. But when I connect to my maschine I am getting "unable get public key from private".
Same key runs fine on my desktop.

Use ssh jump feature
I have an NAS and a few other devices at my home with a ssh port opened, but only one has connection from outside for security.
From my office I can use the jump feature from ssh to use the externally available as a bridge to access the others.
Would be of great value for me if Termius did implement this feature.
Can we have it?
Thanks for the awesome app!
Fernando

Terminal enters garbled text
After the latest update, the terminal enters garbled text when typing regular characters. Most of the garbled text is question marks. It happens when connecting to a couple different raspberry pi's running raspbian.
17 votesWe’ve found a reason of this behaviour, there was a bug on 32-bit iOS devices.
It has been fixed and the build is already available for our beta testers, and will be available in a day or two in the AppStore. If you’d like to join our beta testing program to get this build earlier please fill out this form:

Host discovery via Bonjour (mDNS)
It would be nice if Termius supported LAN host discovery via mDNS (Bonjour) service advertisements.
Bonus points for not requiring to permanently add a host discovered this way (e. g. auto-add temporary entries for such hosts to the Hosts list, painted in different color or something like that).
Ideal if there could be a separate “Share” action for sending a file via SFTP to an auto-discovered host (so that SFTP sharing becomes as fast as AirDrop).1 voteHello,
The Bonjour discovery has already been implemented. If you go to the Terminal screen and tap into the search bar you may see the button “Discover local hosts”.
Please check it out and let us know if you have any problems with it.
Regarding the SFTP + share idea, we’ve added this to the backlog for future consideration. Sounds interesting :)
Thanks

[Troubleshooting] - SSH Agent Forwarding not working anymore
Hi, since one of the latest Updates (I don't keep track of them, sorry, I can't point out exactly which one),
the ssh agent forwarding isn't working like it used to.
I can connect to the first host, but when I attempt to ssh to the next host, I either
- get asked for the Password
- get a "Permission denied (publickey)
- get a "key_from_blob: invalid format.I tried importing openssh and putty-style formatted keys.
I enabled and disabled the Agent forwarding, in the global options as well as in the host-options, nothing works so far.In the update…
29 votesHello,
Do you still experience the problems with Agent Forwarding or the latest update has fixed the issue?
Thanks
