How can we improve the iOS app?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Support more key types for Known hosts

It seems that the app is only able to save RSA keys in known hosts.
Please add support for more keys like ECDSA and ED25519.

  2. Support Sidebars on iPad (Pro)

I like to see the same sidebars on my iPad Pro like on Mac with the same functionality to resize and hide.

  3. SFTP Browser sync between hosts

When navigating in one host, the second should follow the first location and vice versa

  4. app launch screen is bright white even in dark mode

The launch screen should be set to something sensible, instead of a blank 100% white screen, especially if dark mode is preferred.

  5. Stop prompting for expired premium trial

It should be enough for the user to confirm once that s/he currently doesn‘t want to purchase premium ... having to click through the two or three screens at every app start isnbecoming very annoying.

  7. Ability to disable single tap to show/hide keystrip

As a 62 year old user, I often either inadvertently touch the iPad screen or screw up when trying to select text and accidentally hide the keystrip. This occurs often and gets kinda frustrating. Blame it on my poor eyesight, fat fingers, or dementia. It sure would be nice to have a switch in the settings pane that disables hiding the keystrip. It would improve my productivity greatly!

    Thanks!

  8. Don’t ask “which feature to use” if only one is enabled

When setting up a host, there are toggles for SSH and Telnet. If only one of them is enabled, why ask which to use to connect?

I have several hosts configured with just SSH, and I only ever want to connect to them over SSH. Please make it stop asking unless both SSH and Telnet are configured for the host.

  9. Cannot switch between input languages in a session when on hardware keyboard

I'm using a Logitech K480 keyboard with my device running iOS 11.4, and I'm not able to switch between input languages by pressing the language key on the K480 when I'm in a terminal session. The "pop up virtual keyboard" key on the screen doesn't work when the K480 is connected. The only way to switch between input languages in this case is to disconnect my K480, set the input language with the virtual keyboard, and then reconnect the K480.

The expected behavior is that pressing the hardware language key should switch the input language with the on-screen language indicator.

  12. Terminus stuck in Local Echo?

I love Terminus, but suddenly it is behaving as if Local Echo is turned on when using Telnet.
How do I turn it off?

  13. Quick connect

Hi, a quick connect could be very useful: clicking a link like telnet:/ I don’t want to save the destination (that could be an option), but go straight to the console.

  14. Ctrl+o no longer works in 4.0.2.

As of 4.0.2 Ctrl+o no longer works as intended. In Nano, ctrl+o should save, but pressing ctrl+o performs the same operation as pressing ctrl+space. Ctrl+o had worked properly in the previous version.

  16. TextExpander Support

Built-in Text Expander support would be fantastic! TextExpander snippets are universal and I use them on my Mac, iOS and Windows devices.

  18. Ability to only show items in that group

The ability to only show items that are within a certain group, and not it’s sub groups, would be a great tool to tidy up the workspace, currently the groups show all the items in inside, plus any items in the subgroups, this makes it hard to organise all the clients without making sure that they are all within a subgroup as well.
This being just an option would be great!

    Thanks, AshersLab

  19. Show licenses

It could be fine to show open source libraries licenses. I think you use xterm.js or hterm and probably other libraries.

  20. BUG: editing in VIM was a few lines off making Termius unusable

It's been awhile since I've used the app on my iPad, but I SSH'd into a server and used VIM to edit a file making a quick fix... however:

    1. the line numbers on the document started at 4, but I couldn't scroll up any higher.
    2. I moved down to the appropriate line and made the change
    3. what I changed should have fixed the issue so I opened the file again and I was baffled because the line I changed was about 4 lines above where my cursor was showing me making edits. Somehow when I was editing…
