How can we improve the Desktop app?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  2. Group monitoring addons

It would be really nice to have the ability to create custom add ons as well to be able to create group monitoring tools. Maybe by Termius groups, but preferably by subnet or range as well.

  3. autocomplete

I am just starting to use the desktop version of Termius for Windows and I find that I cannot autocomplete my typing?

    Like

    apt-g <tab>

or apt-get <tab><tab> to show options.

Is that planned to get included?

  4. sync keyboard shortcuts

I have disabled the ctrl-w keyboard shortcut for "close window" because it conflicts with the "write" option in nano (also - why would you chose that shortcut!!). But every time i use a new laptop, i have to remember to se tit again. It'd be great if you sync'd settings, keyboard shortcuts etc. as well as hosts and SSH keys.

  5. Automatic fetching for device names from DNS

I'm a network admin and using ssh to configure a lot of Cisco devices. We have them all stated in our corporate DNS server. They are categorized by domain depending on their location (us.contoso.com, eu.contoso.com...). I would love to have a ssh client that can export specified domains as groups once in a while so I don't have to do it myself. It is doable by scripts but still :)

  8. support Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V copy paste as Chromebook have no INS key.

In Windows you can paste with Shift-INS in terminals which have mouse control (where right clicking for pasting isn't working).

Chromebooks on the other hand, don't have an INS key, so pasting is very difficult in such a situation.

Please have a look at c9.io (get a free account and create a machine). They have a very sophisticated SSH terminal in the browser and managed to have a simple ctrl-c/ctrl-v scheme for copy/paste, just as in a text editor.

this would be very practical on a chromebook.

  9. Always show one placeholder "New Connection" in the sidebar

Please, please get rid of the PLUS button and show instead always one "New Connection" tab after the last active connection. And/or support Option-N to create a new one

  10. Enable an option to disable the fade background

When Server Auditor is not selected it "greys out". This can be highly frustrating if working with multiple windows.

An option to disable this would be highly appreciated.
