With the introduction of hardware keyboards for iPad Pro with TouchPad the interaction with touch screen is not necessary. It would be much more comfortable for user to allow selection of the next by pointer only, similarly to what Blink does.

While working on hardware keyboard any interaction with the touch screen unnecessarily slows down the work and this also lowers users comfort.

The reason for text selection would be fast possibility to copy/paste.
