iOS App

  1. Termius records the return key twice and inserts “^@“

Any time that I telnet into a Cisco router/switch to complete my labs for class, I get this weird issue happening. It only happens on iPad win using Termius. Other telnet apps for iOS do not have this issue, but i like the Termius ecosystem better. Is there any way to fix this?

Here is a screen recording to see the issue in action.

  3. CAPS LOCK

    Hi Friend,

Can you help advise if there is a way to turn on CAPS LOCK function during an SSH session? Or any other keys or keys combination can achieve the same target?

    Thanks.

  6. Chinese in Vim plz

I know there is a similar post in 2016, but now in version 4.3.2 termius can’t show Chinese correctly. Really appreciate it if this bug can be fixed!

  8. In a nested SSH session, password no longer recognized in inner SSH login using physical iPad Keyboard

Recently found bug. It works with my iPhone and the on screen keyboard on the iPad but not the keyboard cover. Something changed since the last update probably regarding “Fixed additional keyboard usability with hardware keyboard”

  9. visual bell

I like the ability to shut off the bell, but I’d like an option for a visual bell similar to how x-term does. Either an overlay with the “Bell” text, or just flash the screen.

  10. Bug

When a 0xFF character is sent by the remote host (for example, a ÿ character in the Latin 1 encoding), the terminal freezes, and Termius crashes.

  11. Enable use of custom installed fonts

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before..

Thanks to the updates in ios, you can install custom fonts via profiles in settings. I just imported powerline fonts (I'm a Japanese user so I would really like to have a Japanese ready mono-spaced font) from my computer and installed it to my iPad, but it looks like the font chooser on this app doesn't show the custom installed ones. I don't know if there's a function that filters mono-spaced font out of the custom installed fonts, but I would really appreciate if there was a feature added to support them!

  12. Support Sidebars on iPad (Pro)

I like to see the same sidebars on my iPad Pro like on Mac with the same functionality to resize and hide.

  13. app launch screen is bright white even in dark mode

The launch screen should be set to something sensible, instead of a blank 100% white screen, especially if dark mode is preferred.

  14. Telnet uses \r alone

Telnet uses \r alone on return instead of the standard \r\n. I have appliances that doesn't like that and won't accept my commands.

I also see lots of control gibberish on the line... Not a big deal for me (worst case I might have to clear the buffers with a newline before sending command) but I guess it might be nice to have control over this as well.

  15. Ability to disable single tap to show/hide keystrip

As a 62 year old user, I often either inadvertently touch the iPad screen or screw up when trying to select text and accidentally hide the keystrip. This occurs often and gets kinda frustrating. Blame it on my poor eyesight, fat fingers, or dementia. It sure would be nice to have a switch in the settings pane that disables hiding the keystrip. It would improve my productivity greatly!

    Thanks!

  16. Go Back to Previous Way of Running Snippets

I maintain a fleet of servers and the Snippets feature used to be a huge timesaver because you could:

1- enter a sudo command as first step
2- immediately proceed to apply the next snippet containing the password to run the sudo command across all servers

In the updated Snippets functionality, unless I’m mistaken, you can no longer do this because you’re no longer allowed to input another snippet before the first one has completed.

This means you’re stuck when using commands that prompt you for the user password and will have to go into each server one by one…

  18. Status Bar

When connected and working in a shell session, the status bar with useful information like date & time, network connectivity and battery level is invisible. I can’t tell if that’s an intentional decision to hide the bar on iPad. The status bar should be visible in some way, perhaps black on the white background of the empty tab bar. Otherwise, while using the app and trying to keep an eye on the time one must constantly pull down the control center to see the clock.

  19. Double tap fit enter

Can you make the double tap selectable for at least enter i.s.o. tab? Tab then should become available in the keystrip.

  20. I cannot get the app to work, i write in the correct details to connect to my ssh server but it results in "invalid argument"

every time i have tried connecting to a ssh server it results in a (!) invalid argument, with no further information on how to get it to work, i have tried different ways for about 2 hours. I am able to connect to the server from the terminal on my macbook (same network as ipad) but it just wont work from terminus on ipad! On terminus v 4.3.1 on an Ipad pro 10.5".
