Edit files with sftp
I have access to see all my files with sftp but I can't edit them? This would be very useful if I could. I would be happy if it downloaded, then edited, and once saved uploaded (similar to FileZilla) because sometimes I need to edit some files on the go.

5 years later.... nothing.

Would be nice to get an explanation from the developer team. Its been quite a while, must be a reason they haven't done it yet. Goes without saying that this is the most requested feature for years.
i have the same problem to, I can't edit files.
What I wanted in one tool:
3. Login with Private/key
4. Login with password.
6. Edit Files via SFTP.
In order to have these functionalities, I need to use 2-3 tools. Termius looked very promising at first until I find that I can't edit the files in SFTP and thats a deal breaker.

This i absolutly needed for many usrs, please implement it. if i must switch to winscp or similar app which can do this free of charge. i have paid for this because i don't want 3 tools more instead of 1 tool for all.
Hello... where is basic editing via sftp - see MobaXTerm if you need to figure it out...

I would love to buy premium, but honestly without the ability to edit files "directly" in the server I can't justify it. I can't see why creating a script that downloads a file to a cache directory, opens your editor, and then uploads on save is such a huge ask. This is a common feature on any modern SFTP or FTP clients.
You're leaving money on the table and it's a shame. You have a truly beautiful application.
What are you waiting for guys? Leave everything and do something about this thing first.

WHY is this still not a thing? For sure will not buy premium for SFTP if I still have to use filezilla anyway..
My god. This is still unresolved after all these YEARS? I thought the point of subscription was to allow companies to spend time on the product without having to worry much about money flow? But instead, looks like it allows companies to just have this constant money inflow and allowing them to INSTEAD to not care much about answering to users’ requests.
Something went completely 180 degree right here.
Vote with your wallets guys.

When are you going to implement this feature??? This is a must have for any SFTP client....
I cannot refuse filezilla or winscp just because you lack this feature. Add please!
Yes I strongly request an editor feature too. I'd also like to have a sftp by the side of an editor/ternimal view, and the sftp would follow the terminal path, just like Mobaxterm. If that's true I'll buy premium immediately. Currently I'm just going to use AWS Cloud9.
Just downloaded this but not having a way to edit a file means i wont be buying premium. Bummer too, because i was really excited about this app. You ALMOST got it. Just add that and you will become the go to all-in-one ssh, file transfer & editor for a lot of people

Why I have to open another application when I just want to open a file. Why can not I click on the file and it does not open in 3rd part application?
I bought the PRO version, but I have to go back to MobaXterm, because Moba has this feature available. This is basic functionality. It's a waste of money.
It isn't problem only on iOS, I work mostly on windows.
Well.. no simple editor in SFTP mode definitely means no sale. This is a must have feature.
Too bad :( was pretty much expected a subscription based app to have this level of functionality..
It should be really more easy. Winscp, Forklift and other download a temporary file, save the changes and push it back to remote...no big deal guys
I Have pay for PRO billed annually but can't edit single php code. Shit App !!!
