Decouple new host data entry from testing/offer to keep also failing configs
As far as I can tell, (on the iPhone) new host specifications are mandatorily tested upon entry and *rejected* if not successful. I appreciate the testing, but not that "currently bad data" cannot be kept/stored:
the best (and sometimes even: only…) time for host data entry is not necessarily when the specified network is actually available!
Could you e.g. offer to *keep* entries that fail to connect, perhaps flagging them in some way in the list? (After all, also if a connection should work today it does not mean it will tomorrow …)
Many thanks (and due apologies if I should be mistaken)!
