  1. Telnet uses \r alone

Telnet uses \r alone on return instead of the standard \r\n. I have appliances that doesn't like that and won't accept my commands.

I also see lots of control gibberish on the line... Not a big deal for me (worst case I might have to clear the buffers with a newline before sending command) but I guess it might be nice to have control over this as well.

  2. Go Back to Previous Way of Running Snippets

I maintain a fleet of servers and the Snippets feature used to be a huge timesaver because you could:

1- enter a sudo command as first step
2- immediately proceed to apply the next snippet containing the password to run the sudo command across all servers

In the updated Snippets functionality, unless I’m mistaken, you can no longer do this because you’re no longer allowed to input another snippet before the first one has completed.

This means you’re stuck when using commands that prompt you for the user password and will have to go into each server one by one…

  3. Using iPadPro smartFoilio command/control + up/down to simulate PageUp / PageDown

I am using iPadPro keyboard, since the ESC key is simulated by command + `, I personally common keys like PageDown / PageUp should be simulated ,too. In macOS, such key is already simulated with some key + UP/DOWN. I wonder such implementation could happen in Termius.

And for “all custom combination key”, could be a premium service too, that users could design their own combination key with the UI similar to “custom keyboard” but like

Page UP = command + UP
Page DOWN = command + DOWN
    INSERT = command + ...

More slots are reserved for the premiums.

  6. Double tap fit enter

Can you make the double tap selectable for at least enter i.s.o. tab? Tab then should become available in the keystrip.

  8. BUG: Key fingerprint not displayed (due to initial NUL byte?)

I didn’t really want to report what I consider to be a security issue this way, but I don’t see another way to contact you for bug reports.

TL;DR: I believe Termius is truncating display of a new key fingerprint when it encounters a 00 byte.

We rebuilt a server recently, and it got a new host key. I deleted the old key fingerprint from the Known Hosts section, then connected. I got the usual “Are you sure you want to continue connecting?” dialog that lets me check the key fingerprint, except it skipped straight from “RSA key fingerprint is”…

  10. SFTP: allow for sort settings to “stick”

When opening an SFTP session, the files and folders are sorted by name. As I prefer to sort them by date modified or created, I select the “gear” icon to sort by date and newest to oldest. However, the setting is not “sticky” as in the next SFTP session, files and folders are sorted by name again!

  12. Quick connect option?

Sometimes I just want to make a quick connection.... What about a 1-line connection option?

    ssh user@domain.com -p 22

Except without the ssh part I guess... Even if it’s a dialog that would be ok, but it would be great to have a quick option to just connect to a server I may not need to save the connection information for.

  14. CAPS LOCK

    Hi Friend,

Can you help advise if there is a way to turn on CAPS LOCK function during an SSH session? Or any other keys or keys combination can achieve the same target?

    Thanks.

  16. Touch support for tmux

This will make window selection from the taskbar much faster. JuiceSSH on Android can do this. It would also make pane selection and resizing easier. Would be useful to emulate mouse support in Midnight Commander as well.

Obviously Terminal Touch mode would disable this.

  17. Terminus stuck in Local Echo?

I love Terminus, but suddenly it is behaving as if Local Echo is turned on when using Telnet.
How do I turn it off?

  20. [Major bug] The iOS App won't start a new terminal?

I just downloaded the app and added a new host. Then I go to Terminals -> Search or type command -> Tap on the recently added: 'mosh MyServer -p 22'.

    Nothing happens.

I try typing this manually and tapping 'Connect'.

    Nothing happens.

Am I doing something wrong? How do I ssh into a server? It looks like the app is just completely broken...

    Hello,
    Thank you for the feedback.
Please contact us through Help & Feedback → I’ve Got a Question form so we could investigate the case more carefully.

Also please note that there may be several reasons for such behaviour.

First most common reason is that your host may be unreachable from the network that your iOS device is using.

Please none that since you are using mosh you should make sure that mosh server is installed on your host. Also when you are using mosh via ‘Terminals → Search or type command’ field Termius will use default mosh ports and mosh command (-p 22 is for initial SSH connection to launch mosh, not mosh it self). You may need to change mosh command.

To do that please create Host item at Hosts screen and make corresponding configurations there (to change mosh settings please enable ‘Use SSH’ and ‘Use Mosh’…
