  1. Clickable Telnet connection (Replace PuTTY / SecureCRT as default windows telnet client)

I tried adding Termius as my Windows default Telnet client. When I clicked a Telnet Link it would just start Termius and not connect as PuTTY or SecureCRT does.

Will this be added at one point?

  2. host is not selected after giving back the focus

When you type select a host (in the 'hosts' panel), go to this host and you go back to the 'hosts' panel, the 'Find a host or ssh' field is not selected.

Could you select the content of the field. It will help to enter a new host quickly.

  3. SFTP initial directory + directory synchronization

It would be nice feature to have option to define initial directory for SFTP (it could work also for SSH - only remote part).
After connection local and remote directories would be changed to defined in host settings.

In cases where multiple vhosts are places on single server (single user) it would be very helpful.

Next it could provide option to synchronize directory changes (feature known to FileZilla users).

PS. to be hones it is not OS related (right?)

  4. Allow selection of UI elements using the Tab key

In the current Termius desktop app, navigating between UI elements using the tab key is possible but very difficult to use: there is no visual feedback on which element is currently focused.

For example, to open a new session from saved hosts using only keyboard, one needs to:

    1. Press shortcut key for new tab (Ctrl + Shift + T)

    2. Press Tab five times

    3. Use up and down arrow keys to select a host

In which there is no visual feedback on the tab selection so one must use trial-and-error to figure out and memorize how many times should Tab be…

  5. Port forwarding feature should be defined per ssh channel connection, not independent connections

Port forwarding should be configurable w/o reconnecting. It should have a single configuration set per host. It should make use of the control channel feature I requested independently from this.

  6. Make use of control channels so only ONE authentication is required

Applies to all platforms. This is a MUST HAVE feature for those using 2FA or MFA to authenticate. Establish and use a control channel so that all subsequent sessions and forwards make use of the same connection.
I cannot recommend or use the product until it has this.
PrivateShell has done this for years and years.

  8. How can I recover hosts and keys

I haven't used Termius in a few weeks I just opened it up and I am missing all my information. No keys and no hosts. This is a real pain. is there any way to recover or do I need to find a new tool that doesn't lose my information when it updates?

  9. When I connect to a publickey-only server which I did not add to host before, termius ask for password only, not ask for private key.

If I connect to a server which publickey only by typing in command line, termius only ask for password , not private key which I've been added to termius, then report "No Error reported from host" and disconnected.
It's very hard to use if a server did not added to your host list. I may change back to xshell.

  13. Add passcode support for the Desktop Apps

To harden security, a passcode lock (similar to the one found in the mobile apps) should be made available to desktop apps as well.

  14. Host templates

I'm often working with dynamic clusters (AWS/Google) that all use the same username (e.g. ec2-user) and password/SSH key, but end up with different IP addressed.

It would be great if I could create a Host "template" that has the IP missing and when I try to connect to it have Termius prompt me for it (and never save as a known host).

  16. Local Terminal tab should show current directory

I often have multiple local terminal tabs open, each to different directories or tail -f a log file, etc. It would be great if instead of the tab name being "Local Terminal (3)" it showed either:

    • the command being run (assuming a process is running); or

    • the directory it's in

That way I can quickly identify which tab I want:

    • Local Terminal (tail -f db.log)

    • Local Terminal (C:\Projects\Server)

  17. Make more screen space usable in Desktop App

Whenever Desktop App window is maximized you’ll see that ~90% os screen space on “Hosts” tab is empty and is not used at all.
My suggestion is to use Grid layout or something similar instead of the list to fit more information on-screen at the same time.

  20. Tag search, bigger drop down list, sort list etc. etc. etc.

Most people (i am guessing :) ) like me have large and extensive device list. Because of this i have cleaned up my device tags.
The device tagging is not at all intuitive and does not even support search. The drop down list is ridiculously small.
