Desktop App

  1. App does not keep-alive, would disconnect shortly

On the Windows desktop app, the app would never maintain a stable connection for a long time. It would automatically disconnect from all servers after an exact certain amount of time, which is not the case on the MacOS version as that's the one I used before.

I tried to enable the keep-alive function via the preferences menu but it does not change anything.

  3. BUG: Mac OS Copy & Paste into MacMail not working

I've been using Termius for a while now, and generally its been working well. However, there is one slight annoyance, when I try and copy & paste into emails that I'm composing from MacMail, it doesn't paste for some reason. There is no error, it just doesn't paste.

When I copy & paste into another app, such as TextEdit or Word as examples, I am able to copy and paste. This however is slightly annoying that I need to copy & paste the same thing twice if I want to paste into an Email.

  4. Enter credentials for local terminal in settings?

On Mac OS X, "Local Terminal" shows up as an option in the Hosts list with the direction to add credentials in settings but I am unable to find where in settings to put in my credentials. Do these settings actually exist? And if so, can we make them more obvious in the settings screen?

  5. Add support for Krypton to the desktop app

As an alternative to sync'ing private key material via an AES256-encrypted replication method, it might be useful to support Krypton (https://krypt.co/developers/) with Termius. With Krypton, we now generate the private key within the secure element of a mobile phone, so that it can not be viewed or exported, EVEN BY THE USER, only utilized for crypto operations (similar to a TPM or HSM.) It also now introduces the opportunity to add an additional factor, by making the use of the private key require authorization on the phone before processing. In all, in signficantly improves the security model of…

  6. BUG: Termius unusable until restart when using port forwarding

When you do the following steps:

    1. Make the host to connect to listen on a specific port
    2. Enable port forwarding
    3. Make the host to connect to not listen on the port anymore
    4. Try to connect to the port Termius has opened locally

then the port forwarding feature crashes and is unusable anymore until you restart Termius. On other programs like PuTTY, you simply can't connect to the port PuTTY has opened locally until the port on the host is reachable again.

Why somebody would need this? When you develop scripts on like Node.JS which restarts the…

Need more flexibility to add the only IP address, (when the default port is ssh).
Port if not default so can be inserted on Input field.

Unfortunately, the keymap on AIX seems wrong. For example when I press Backspace, it doesn't work. I have to Ctrl+Backspace.

  14. Mac app can’t login without username

The Mac app needs the ability to login without a username like the iOS app can. Without this feature, I can’t use the Mac app for most Cisco hardware so it’s basically unusable right now.

  15. Support GSSAPI authentication?

It is common to use GSSAPI with Kerberos ticket to auth client with a SSH server, and many SSH clients (openssh-client, putty, and a bunch of others) support this. Is it possible for Termius to support this feature too?

PS: the category is randomly selected; GSSAPI and Kerberos is cross platform. Linux, Windows and macOS all have native support of Kerberos 5.

  16. BUG: Termius failed to paste the whole thing into terminal

Working with Termius Windows is always kind of a struggle, it is hard to do long text copying because if you scroll the Termius window, it will uncheck the chosen text outside the window, and yesterday I found that Termius can sometimes bugged out when you tried to paste a large portion of texts, such as 100+ SQL commands, some commands got cut off in the middle and hence failed to execute.

  17. Display tags in hosts list

In the host's list, you can make tags and assign them to your hosts however in the list view you can't see them. It would be a great help if we could have the tags displayed in the list view.

  20. Cannot Access Tez Web Interface on EMR through Termius

I use EMR on AWS, and I therefore need to be able to access the Tez web interface on the cluster, which requires 3 port forwards, 8080, 8088, and 8188. I can accomplish this with the following terminal command, which works fine:

    ssh -i <my_key>.pem -L 8080:<EMR DNS>:8080 -L 8088:<EMR DNS>:8088 -L 8188:<EMR DNS>:8188 hadoop@<EMR DNS>

However, I have not been able to accomplish this with Termius. After setting up a port forward for each of these in Termius, I still get an error (that it cannot access the Tez timeline server on 8188). Any ideas on how to resolve…
