Serial communication is the process of sending data one bit at a time, sequentially, over a communication channel or computer bus.
Note: Serial connections are not available in the Starter (free) plan.
Establish a serial connection
On iOS / iPadOS, you can establish a serial connection using Redpark's Lightning Console Cable (L2RJ45V3). It connects devices with a lightning port to the console port on network equipment. It is compatible with any brand of networking equipment that uses the RJ45 type serial port.
On Android, to establish a serial connection, you'll need an OTG converter, a USB cable with appropriate connectors, and your device must be OTG-compatible. (Most Android devices these days are OTG-compatible.)
