This is your device's problem, not Termius's. Plus, this was never standard behavior in cURL and ssh. Your localhost via ssh was always that of the server, not the client. Are you sure that whatever you're trying to fetch via cURL is running? Perhaps restart that server script.

This is because it's not the virtual touchpad, but a shortcut that's part of iOS itself that allows for the movement of the cursor in text fields. On iPhones, this uses 3D Touch instead of two fingers.

What specific platforms are you considering?

Pardon me, but are you saying to connect to the iPhone through another iPhone? Is it jail broken?

While this is mainly functionality expected from another app that supports iOS Activities, having a minimal text editor would be a nice novelty.

That brings up a lot of questions, as POSIX shell script is primarily intended to be written, not spoken. For example, is sudo pronounced soodoe or soodoo? When you say tee-put bell, do you want tput bel or tput bell? When you say ell-ess dash ayy, do you mean ls -a or ls -A? And unlike spoken language, if you misspeaks or the phone misunderstands you, you could destroy large amounts of data. And if you meant to spell things out, that would not only be slower but also much more error-prone, and you're better off just typing it, bringing a laptop in the bus, or just waiting it out till you get off.

It would be a challenge to implement, but worth it for sure. Most other X11 reimplementations are geared toward desktops, like XQuartz, based on GNOME 2, for macOS; so this feature would really set Termius apart.

To the new guy: most *NIXes use a window server called X to handle their graphical desktop environments. X forwarding in SSH means that if an opened application relies on X, that data will be sent to the client, too, effectively meaning that the GUI is present on the client as well.
In regular SSH, this is achievable with the -X flag, but with Termius, it isn't that easy and must be manually implemented, due to the lack of a parent X server in iOS itself.

Configure a device compatible with SSH, Mosh or telnet to use one or more of those platforms. This device will become known as your server. Set up your network so you can access the device via your iPhone or iPad, preferably with some form of port forwarding. Now, add that device and its credentials to Termius. When you select that device from the hosts list, it will remotely connect to the computer in question and log in to it. From here, you are presented with a full TTY in which you can run any commands your server contains, and any changes you make will be sent back to your computer.
Termius is not a standalone terminal, but rather an SSH, Mosh and telnet client. Without an appropriate server, it is useless.
